woodland park 5

this guy was just sitting there next to the glass with a sly sleepy smile on his face as if he was inviting us to come scratch him behind the ears. as cool as that would be, i doubt it would be a very good idea.

my sincere apologies to arachnophobes everywhere, of which i am one.

woodland park 4

i had a hard time wrapping my brain around this one. magpies are my all time favorite birds. i see several of them every day. it was just strange to see them in a cage as if they were exotic or rare.

these guys were having a great time keeping us entertained.

there were two bears, both from washington state university. for while they were napping in the distance, but after awhile the reluctantly figured they aught to earn their keep, and come entertain the silly humans.

woodland park 3

i've met a handful of these guys in my time, but this is the first time i remember seeing one in a cage.

i don't think i want to meet one of these without a piece of glass between us.

he doesn't look so dangerous. maybe if he used mouthwash he'd have more friends.

i hear these make great burgers.

woodland park 2: feeding time

i don't think this guy belonged to the zoo. it appears he just happened to know when feeding time was and thought he'd try his luck.

penguin love.
