My attention was snagged by this tiny yellow flowere
it wasn't until I got home and uploaded the pictures
that I noticed this little guy
looks like a cartoon bug of some kind

what's in here?
When I was a kid, we used to look inside rolled up leaves like this for little green caterpillars. However, sometimes we'd find things like earwigs and such that we weren't so fun to let crawl around on our hand.
Aphids! Not near as much fun a little green caterpillars.
There was a little green spider as well, but he was camera shy.

i think it's some sort of mayfly, or something closely related.
